Regulations implement, interpret, or prescribe law or policy.

The Regulation Number - regulations are cited by title, chapter and regulation number, as in the example below.

Cabinet, Department, Board or Agency	Indicates this is a KY Administrative Regulation (KRS Indicates KY Revised Statute)	Office, Division or Major Function	Specific Regulation

In the example:

	922 refers to Cabinet for Health & Family Services, Department for Community Based Services.
	KAR indicates that this is a Kentucky Administrative Regulation, not a Statute or Law. If in any instance a regulation and statute conflict, the statute supercedes the regulation.
	1: refers to Child Welfare
	300 is the actual regulation number in this instance "Standards for Child Caring Facilities"
