    Abi provides intensive therapeutic services and targeted case management to children and adults in a community based setting. We serve professionals, adults, families, and children, Jefferson County Public Schools, and foster care agencies through treatment team planning, referral networking (including medication management, consultation, and professional development.     Four (4) distinct programs: 1) Residential treatment for pregnant and parenting teens and their children; 2) Basic and Therapeutic Foster Care for children of all ages; 3) Pre-Independent Living Apartments; and 4) 2 STARS Rated Child-caring Center.

    Program 1 Information:

    Program Name : Pregnant & Parenting - Residential Treatment
    Program Description : AGC Pregnant & Parenting (Mother & Baby) is a program designed to serve pregnant and/or parenting teenage girls and their children. Residents are provided daily, hands-on parenting education as well as weekly group parenting classes. These skills are incorporated into daily living during designated Parent And Child Time (PACT); residents also observe different age groups of children in AGC's on-site Childcare Center. Residents attend school daily in the public school system; where they are offered credit-recovery or GED programming options. Residents also receive weekly individual and group therapy on-site. The primary evidence-based programs used are Nurturing Parenting for Teen Moms, Seeking Safety for substance abuse and PTSD and My Life, My Choice for victims of sexual abuse and trafficking. Additional services such as TF-CBT, PCIT (Parent/Child Interactive Therapy), First Steps, HANDS, grief therapy, childbirth classes, doula assisted births and others are also provided on-site by trained AGC providers and outside providers as needed.

    Brief Description : Residents receive training and education based upon the Nurturing Parent curriculum; an evidence-based program specifically designed to serve abused/neglected teenage parents. Every teenage mom receives a baseline assessment of her risk of future maltreatment (according to the Adult/Adolescent Parenting Inventory) upon admission and a post-test at the time of discharge. This post-test is accompanied by written recommendations from AGC Treatment Team staff regarding the resident's overall progress: including educational, mental health and parenting goal attainment as well as risk indicators in regards to her parenting abilities.

    Program Name : All God's Children Therapeutic Foster Care
    Program Description : AGC TFC serves abused, neglected and/or dependent children from across Kentucky. This program serves both pregnant/parenting youth and their children as well as children of all ages and genders in need of a loving basic or therapeutic foster home. Therapeutic services provided to these children include Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Grief Therapy, Play Therapy, Family Therapy (when applicable), group therapy (for teenage mothers only), weekly parenting classes (for teenage mothers only).

    Brief Description : All AGC TFC foster parents are trained in the Nurturing Parent training curriculum in addition to state-mandated trainng/certifications. All local foster families have the option of utilizing the accredited AGC Childcare Center for a discounted childcare price.

    Program 3 Information:

    Program Name : Pre- Independent Living
    Program Description : All God's Children provides scattered-site apartments located in downtown Nicholasville with capacity for 6 teens or 6 moms and their children. AGC's Pre-IL has the same services offered as our other programs including Nurturing Parenting Support Groups, Seeking Safety classes, individual and family counseling, case management and the use of our 2 STARS rated child care center. This program is a supervised setting for youth ages 16-21 who are pregnant or parenting. Staff reside on-site with youth 24/7.

    Independent Living classes and skill building lessons are a part of this program, Residents must make their own menu, cook their own meals and learn to plan, budget and shop with a trained staff. 24/7 staff ensure clients and their children create an appropriate daily routine to ensure a balance between education, employment, therapeutic services, mother/child time, recreation, etc. All transportation to college classes, work or other appointments are coordinated and offered by the AGC team.

    Arbor Youth Services is a 24/7 emergency shelter for children ages 6 weeks to 17 yrs old. We serve homeless, runaway and at-risk youth. We provide a nurturing environment while meeting the basic needs of youth while in the shelter. We utilize a Positive Youth Development Model of practice.
